From USA Today bestselling author Rina Kent comes a new STANDALONE enemies-to-lovers college romance.

I’m trapped by the devil.

What started as an innocent mistake turned into actual hell.

In my defense, I didn’t mean to get involved with a mafia prince.

But he barged through my defenses anyway.

He stalked me from the shadows and stole me from the life I know.

Jeremy Volkov might appear charming, but a true predator lurks inside.

He’s out to possess, own, and keep me.

But I have no plans to stick around in his blood-soaked world.

Or so I think.

This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that aren't to everyone's liking. Please check the author's note for content warnings before reading

  • Cecily:. Cecily is a strong and independent woman, but she is also vulnerable and naïve.

  • Jeremy Volkov : Jeremy is a dark and dangerous man, but he is also charming and charismatic. He's assertive with take it or leave it attitude with cutthroat personality

That dull, maybe not so dull, existence has gotten herself the worst type of attention.

Mine.

  • God of Wrath is a dark enemies-to-lovers romance novel that follows Cecily Knight, a college student who is kidnapped by Jeremy Volkov, the son of a mafia boss. Jeremy is a ruthless and possessive man, but Cecily is determined to resist him. However, as they spend more time together, she begins to fall for him, even though she knows he is bad for her.

She’s the only person whose company I feel free in. There’s no sense of duty nor a weight on my shoulders.

There’s just me and her.

Cecily Knight is the calm in a loud, chaotic world.

  • The book is full of angst, suspense, and steamy scenes. Kent does a great job of creating complex characters that are both not relatable and infuriating. The two of them have a volatile and addictive chemistry.

  • TI loved the relationship between Cecily and Jeremy. They had such a volatile and addictive chemistry. I was rooting for them even though I knew they were bad for each other.

  • I also enjoyed the cameos from the characters from the previous books in the series. It was fun to see how they were all doing and to get some updates on their stories.

  • The book is a standalone, but I think it would be even better if you read the previous books in the series first. This would give you more context for the characters and their relationships.Overall, I really enjoyed God of Wrath. It is a well-written and addictive dark romance novel that I would recommend to fans of the genre.

  • Moreover, "God of Wrath" delves deep into themes of justice, morality, and the consequences of unchecked power. It poses profound questions about the nature of wrath and its impact on individuals and society as a whole. It left me contemplating the balance between divine providence and human agency, and the complexities of our own moral choices.

“I’m not a nice man, Cecily. I won’t pretend otherwise, or I’d be doing you and myself a disservice. What I am, however, is someone who’ll slaughter your demons one by one until you’re finally free of them. I’ll touch your scars until you normalize them and can live with them"
