By MARNI MANN

A scorching hot enemies-to-lovers office romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann …
In the legal world, everyone knows my last name. So, when Declan Shaw—the hottest, most ruthless and sought-after litigator in the state—comes in to mentor my class’s mock trial, I decide not to reveal that piece of personal information.
I want a one-on-one with him like I’m any other law student, especially when we go out to celebrate after class.
But the one-on-one ends with us in the alley behind the bar.
With us stripping off our clothes.
With me screaming his name.
It’s desperate-to-have-you, no-holds-barred, downright filthy sex.
And then, he ghosts me, like a complete alphahole.
But a few weeks later, when I walk into The Dalton Group—my family’s law firm—where I’m starting my internship, my new boss is waiting for me.
The man I despise.
The man I can still taste in my fantasies.
Declan Shaw.
Review
This book totqlly reminded me of Harvey Specter. Declan is so much like him. Declan is an alpha to the max and down right rude at times. He's charming, hot, confident, dedicated , resilient.
When you mixed his charm and charisma with his ability to look right through you, the way he heated you with his stare and melted you with his voice, the combination was lethal.
but also he is by no means a prince charming. He's successful in his proffesional life. win every case and negotations .
There wasn’t a single litigator in the state who wanted to go to trial against him. Because when Declan stepped into a courtroom, he won.
people fears the lawyerbut as a boyfriend? well even to reach to that road book needed to be written.
Hannah is a delight. Super smart, super sweet. and strong and very hard working.
Time was something Hannah had very little of, but it seemed that was what she gave out the most—to Ford, whenever he needed her to watch his daughter; to my team, when even the slightest hiccup arose; and even to me, never saying no regardless of what I asked.
She's talented and works for her dream to be a lawyer. her family's already in law field and has started career as an intern before giving the bar exam .She's got soooo much patience , much needed for Declan.
Hannah> Declan. Declan is indecisive about being with Hannah except for one thing that he's extremally attracted to her.
I wanted Hannah Dalton to be mine.
The fact that she wasn’t just made me angry.
Half or most of the book he doesn't really want to be with her even in the same room but doesn't mind "being with her". and when he finally built courage to walk the bridge.
“But here’s what I can promise you. You’re going to get all of me. I’ll be honest with you even if the words I speak aren’t the ones you want to hear.”
“I’m going to try like hell to be the man you need me to be, Hannah.”
The real soul chemistry was missing. were they physically attracted to each other defiantly . If Hannah only wanted the same thing or if it was no string attached then her actions would've make sense but i wish her character towards Declan was more strong. Almost a pushover. but then who's perfect.
This is defiantly imperfect book with imperfect characters with scorching hot chemistry. but i wish it had more meaningful or more soul-touched chemistry.
Final verdict
