Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives, she's pleasantly surprised to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells. But there are things Grace discovers that she's not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn't right with the town.

Despite her uneasiness and misgivings from Calvin's friends and family, the two grow close and start to fall for one another. However, as her departure date nears, things between them start to change for the worse. Grace grows wary of Calvin as his infatuation for her seems to turn into obsession. Calvin fears that Grace is hiding something from him.

Told from dual points of view, You Shouldn't Have Come Here is a thrill ride and a cautionary tale of what can go wrong when you open up your house and your heart to a total stranger.

  • Grace Evans: Grace is a strong and independent woman who is determined to find out the truth about Calvin.

  • Calvin Wells : Calvin is a complex character who is both charming and dangerous.

That dull, maybe not so dull, existence has gotten herself the worst type of attention.

Mine.

  • You Shouldn't Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose is a romantic suspense novel that will keep you guessing until the very end. The story follows Grace Evans, a New Yorker who books an Airbnb on a ranch in Wyoming in hopes of escaping her busy life. When she arrives, she meets the handsome and charming Calvin Wells, the owner of the ranch. The two quickly fall for each other, but their romance is soon overshadowed by a dark secret that Calvin is hiding.

  • The book is told alternating between Grace and Calvin's chapters, which gives the reader a glimpse into both of their perspectives. This helps to build suspense and keep the reader guessing about who to trust. The plot is full of twists and turns, and there were several times when I thought I had figured out the ending, only to be surprised by a new twist.

I’d take care of Grace every day of my life if she’d let me, and even if she wouldn’t.

  • The characters in the book are well-developed and relatable. The supporting characters are also well-developed, and they help to add depth to the story.

Grace was all I wanted and all I needed. She was everything between the sun rising and the sun setting.

  • The pacing of the book is fast-paced and suspenseful. The story never slows down, and there is always something happening to keep the reader engaged. The writing is clear and easy to follow, and the author does a great job of creating a sense of atmosphere.

He looked at me like I was the beginning and the end.

  • Overall, You Shouldn't Have Come Here is a well-written and suspenseful romantic thriller. The plot is full of twists and turns, the characters are well-developed, and the pacing is fast-paced. I would recommend this book to fans of the genre.I also enjoyed the cameos from the characters from the previous books in the series. It was fun to see how they were all doing and to get some updates on their stories.

  • Ending was a bit confusing

  • While the plot is gripping, there were moments where the pacing felt slightly uneven. Some sections moved quickly, while others lingered a bit too long, slightly affecting the overall momentum. However, this minor drawback does not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the story.

  • The suspense builds steadily, creating a tension that is palpable. Each revelation and revelation-to-come adds another layer of intrigue, urging you to keep turning the pages.

Final Verdict

Got Darkness, Suspense, Thriller, Mystery , Psycho, Romance. All in All Totally good Thriller.
