"Come to me, Lyla, and I’ll let your father live."

Three years ago, Lyla Dalton fled from the glittering lights of Las Vegas and the ruthless man who rules the criminal underworld, Gavin Pyre. She created a new identity and has been living a quiet life, but that’s at an end. He’s found her and is bringing her back to where she belongs.

As Lyla navigates through the dark secrets of her past, she’s forced to face a man who won’t accept no for an answer from the woman he still claims as his.

Review
  • This was nice one or max two time read for me.

  • Lyla is strong headed girl and in this book her pre and post situation version are seen and beautifully written. Instead of victimizing herself she choose and does what's best for her.

  • Gavin is a mafia guy definitely not hero material. He's many flaws and he is trying to rectify his mistakes and change him for Lyla because for him Lyla comes first. well almost as much as his flaws allows.

  • so this story completes in three books so it will end abruptly. I questioned the character many times but in the end(series) i was satisfied. so this is definitely worth going.

  • Her parents let's not talk about them. Her friend almost good. Didn't like when she pushed her to him when she left him for good reason and still did questionable things which i would never allow for anyone. But she's not strong herself and likes to live in an imaginary world. so that explains

  • His father is former mafia man but now's like a teddy bear and his friends are also loyal.

Final verdict

I'm not in love with this book but this was good book Mia Knight did good job. The details were amazing not boring not fast paced. Perfect. So all in all good read.
